Jim's Success with the Gastric Sleeve Procedure
Growing up I was always active playing sports and even racing motorcycles. Over time, the stress of taking care of loved ones caused my weight to get out of hand. In the fall of 2019, I was walking in the woods and I found myself leaning against a tree to catch my breath. I was struggling to breathe. I remember thinking “this was where they’ll find me”.
I decided I needed to do something about my health. After talking with my wife, I started the process with Dr. Ringley and the Covenant bariatric team. In January of 2020, I had the gastric sleeve procedure and one year later I have lost 200 pounds and am keeping it off.
I went from a 3XL shirt to a large and from a size 50 waist pants and I’m now in size 32 – smaller than when I graduated high school. The gastric sleeve procedure was the best decision I could have made.
