Cancer Care

As a regional referral center, Covenant HealthCare is one of the largest and most specialized health care organizations in Saginaw, Bay, Tuscola, Midland, Genesee and Gratiot Counties.  One of those specialty areas, the cancer program at Covenant HealthCare, has brought quality, compassionate and cost effective care to the people in mid-Michigan.

Covenant has a focus on advancing the programs supporting the full continuum of cancer care.  At Covenant, a patient can expect to be treated with compassion and respect in a full range of inpatient and outpatient diagnosis and treatment services.  A 26-bed inpatient unit, located on 7 Main at the Harrison campus, is the primary facility for medical patients requiring hematology/oncology services.

The Cancer Care and Infusion Therapy Center located on the third floor of the Mackinaw campus provides outpatient chemotherapy, infusion therapy, injections and blood products.  The Breast Health Center has been newly renovated and is also located at the Mackinaw campus.  An important part of our cancer care continuum is the Saginaw Radiation Oncology Center, a service of Covenant HealthCare, Bay Regional Medical Center and MidMichigan - Midland.  Patient's utilizing any of these services are supported by a multidisciplinary team that includes social work, nutrition services, pastoral care, home care and hospice care.

Covenant Cancer Care is proud to offer the STAR Program® (Survivorship Training And Rehabilitation). The STAR Program® provides patients with comprehensive, coordinated cancer rehabilitation supported by a team of STAR Program® Clinicians.
