Environmental Safety

Covenant HealthCare is as dedicated to environmental safety as they are to providing the safest and best quality of care to our patients. To facilitate a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, we develop, coordinate and implement safety standards. To ensure all Covenant buildings are environmentally safe, Covenant has a dedicated Environmental Safety Officer.

The Environmental Safety Officer is responsible for managing a comprehensive safety program that includes emergency preparedness, fire safety, hazardous materials and environmental health. The Safety Officer is also responsible for conducting needs assessment related to risk and safety education for Covenant HealthCare System. These needs assessments are accomplished with appropriate education and training measures. The Safety Officer has the authority to act in the event of an emergency or event when loss of operations, property or life is a possibility.
