NP and PA Request for Proctored Clinical Rotation

Proctored clinical experience time is requested by many individuals in many disciplines. To provide you with the clinical rotation experience you are expecting, Covenant needs to assure that there are resources available for you.

Proctored clinical rotation requests are evaluated and approved by a Student Learners Committee who will determine whether there is capacity to accommodate your request as well as determine whether a proctor will be available to you at the time you request. You will be notified by email whether the request is approved or denied.

If PLACEMENT IS APPROVED you can proceed with your credentialing on on-boarding process.

Clinical rotation opportunities are limited, so please make your request when you have the details in place (start/end date of rotation, proctor requested, and site). Securing the signature of the proctor and master contract (if none exists) can take some time. Please allow 6-8 weeks for processing and completion of your proctored clinical rotation request.

Step 2: Covenant Requirements and Verifications

  • ACEMAPP is the clinical education group that Covenant uses to assure that organizational requirements are fulfilled prior to your proctored clinical rotation. Many universities and colleges utilize ACEMAPP for student on-boarding.
  • All required training and documents required for on-boarding are available in the ACEMAPP tool.
  • Your university Placement Coordinator needs to request a partnership with Covenant Healthcare (if none exists)
ACEMAPP contact information is:
Toll Free: (844)223.4292
Phone: (517)347.8093

Please contact ACEMAPP directly for help is creating an account and partnership. Once the partnership request has been accepted at Covenant HealthCare, then the formal rotation request can be made.

*STUDENT: If you have a prior ACEMAPP account, please use the SAME EMAIL account that you have previously used for ACEMAPP.  This will allow all your information to link and be viewed easily.

Step 3: Identification Badge
Any personnel working within Covenant HealthCare must wear an identification badge at all times. You will be responsible for obtaining this badge from the Human Resource Department, Anderson Campus, 1020 Almira, 2nd floor.

  • The request for the badge will be forwarded to the Human Resources department and once you have completed your training and submitted all on-boarding documents in ACEMAPP.
  • Covenant employees: Current Covenant employees must obtain an ID Badge and must wear the appropriate badge when on campus (e.g. student badge must be worn during proctored clinical rotation, work badge during regularly schedule work hours.)

Step 4: EPIC Sign On Information
Your EPIC sign on information will be requested for you by the Medical Staff Services Office after you have completed all of your requirements and returned the signed proctor agreement.  Once created, the EPIC ID and temporary password will be forwarded to you at the email address you list in your ACEMAPP profile.

Step 5: OR Scrub Training
Many clinical rotations require that the student round in the operating room. Please determine whether this is going to be a need for your upcoming rotation. Even if you have obtained scrub training elsewhere, Covenant does require that you have scrub training here prior to your rotation and appropriate arrangements will need to be made.
