Mariah Bruff is a Certified Child Life Specialist with Covenant HealthCare. March is Child Life month, and she spoke with WNEM TV5 about one of the valuable resources Covenant HealthCare has with its child life program. As a regional pediatric hospital, Covenant cares for thousands of kids from across the state.
Child Life Specialists like Mariah support children who are in the hospital and help them cope with what is going on, educating them on procedures in their terms, and helping kids be kids even during their hospital stay.
