Road Work on North Harrison Street: June 17–19, 2025

The City of Saginaw will be milling and repaving a section of North Harrison and Catherine Streets starting the afternoon of Tuesday, June 17 through Thursday, June 19. While this work will temporarily affect traffic flow and some access points, the Covenant HealthCare Harrison Campus (1447 North Harrison) will remain open and accessible throughout the project.

TRAFFIC IMPACTS:

  • June 17 (afternoon) – June 18 (morning): One-lane traffic will remain open during milling. Milling involves the removal of approximately two inches of the top road surface.

  • June 19: Full road closure for paving; sections will reopen as asphalt cools (estimated 4-hour closure).

PARKING & BUILDING ACCESS:

  • No street parking will be available on North Harrison Street.

  • The main Harrison entrance will be temporarily closed; guests will be directed to a nearby alternate entrance.

  • The Harrison Visitor Lot (1V) will be OPEN during milling June 17–18, accessible via Almira Street to Harrison, but Lot 1V will be CLOSED during paving on June 19. Catherine Street will also be closed for paving.

  • Lot 15M on Almira Street will be open to patients and visitors during the closure of Lot 1V on Thursday, June 19.

  • Additional parking options and detour signage will be posted on site.

Please allow for extra time when traveling to the Harrison Campus and follow posted detour signs. Covenant Security will be on site to help guide patients and visitors.

Note: This project is weather dependent; the paving will be rescheduled if it rains.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during construction!
