The Patient Experience Rating is an average of all responses to the care provider related questions shown below from our nationally-recognized Press Ganey Patient Experience Survey. These comments and ratings are a reflection of individual patient experiences in either the clinic or virtual visit setting. Patients that are treated in outpatient or hospital environments may receive different surveys, and the volume of responses will vary by question.

Responses are measured on a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best score.

My appointment had to be rescheduled because the dr had an emergency. I received a gas card because I had already left for my appointment. That was just so nice.

Doctor Speilhaupter always seems to be rushed when I see her. She's a wonderful, brilliant doctor but her bedside manners could be more personal. Slow down, treat your patients like you really care about them. She forgot about things we've discussed before and that concerned me. I would hope she would look through my chart before coming in to speak with me.

Explained new policy as option to touch.  Also I'm assuming I would consider Dr. Spielhaupter a specialist as a D.O.

Doctor would not give a work excuse note for sickness.  Stated that I wasn't in her office on the day I was sick.  Sunday was the day I became ill, Office is closed that day.  Didn't get in until Thursday because no appointments available.  Reason given to book my appointment was my work required a doctors note.  I was told I would have to see Doctor in order to obtain doctors note.  During my appointment I was told hen told o wouldn't be given a doctors excuse slip because she didn't see me on the days I was actually ill. this doctors philosophy on work slips should have been made known at time of booking appointment as this appointment was a waste of time and money.  Not sure how I can trust further care and treatment from this doctor when same day appointments are next impossible to get and doctor doesn't trust patient enough to verify prior sickness.  I'm curious for example if I had chest pain or heart issue days earlier but made appointment and wasn't having any issue at the time of the appointment what treatment would I receive? any at all?   I don't have confidence that I once had with this doctor that my medical treatment will be properly addressed / future.

Expressed pain on left side concern over heart, but written off as muscular pain - no further investigation into possible heart issue.

Covenant has a sign that reminds patients that when they are there for a physical not to inquire about challenges. As this sign is in other Covenant provider's rooms I will not recommend any Covenant physician. Having this policy results in a perfunctory exam but no encouragement for patients to explore any concerns (enough to know if another appointment is needed).

No shared decision making, very rigid and not concerned with my time limits or requests. refused to order basic meds and a mammogram.

I really appreciated her taking the time to fully explain all the options and steps of the procedure before the exam took place.

The doctor had no concern for any of the problems I had. she said there was no time to talk about any of my problems, however she ranted for 10 minutes about her negative experience with my eye doctor. In this time she could have addressed all of my concerns. She says that each problem must have a separate appointment according to Covenant, which I know is not true from other doctors. It seems like she just wants another paycheck and to waste my time

this doctor wanted to take me off my anxiety medicine that I have been on for 26 years and put me on something else without going off cold turkey after talking with someone in the medical field who knows my condition stated to me from a professional standpoint you do not take someone off and anxiety medicine cold turkey after being on it that long and she refused to refill my prescription and told me to go off of my Xanax and to go on Celexa which I was not impressed about it all plus she was very rude she talks very fast you could not even hardly understand her I would not recommend her to anyone
