Physical Medicine and Rehab.

The Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department is designed to provide progressive health care to individuals ailing from traumatic or disease afflicted musculoskeletal and cognitive disorders, sports injuries or industrial injuries. Annually we serve more than 60,000 patients.  Combined with the team approach to treatment,  the staff includes a full complement of highly skilled therapists and nursing staff.  The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities has accredited our rehabilitation services, which are provided to fit many patients needs, including victims of stroke, amputee services and specialized services for patients with traumatic brain injuries.

Covenant HealthCare entered into a joint venture with RehabCare, Inc. to operate a 41-bed rehabilitation unit and 20-bed transitional care unit, providing care for more than 700 inpatient admissions per year.

The Transitional Care Unit is designed to be a stepping stone for a patient's return home. Our services provide short-term, medical and physical rehabilitation to high acuity patients who are medically stable, yet not strong enough to care for themselves.
