Graduate Nurse Information

Covenant HealthCare welcomes new graduates to apply. We have an “RN Graduate” posting available always online for new graduates looking to start their nursing career. It is a generic posting that allows you to get your information to us to review early, before graduation. Someone from the employment team will be in contact with you to talk further about your specific interests. We will consider your application for any current or future openings.

GN to RN Residency Program

This program, managed under the guidance of the Resource Team Nurse Manager and Educator, is available to new graduates who wish to pursue a career in Medical Surgical or Progressive Care units. This is a three to six-month program focused on mentorship and enhanced educational opportunities. After being in the program for three months, the new RN may choose to apply for a job on the floor they have been training or apply for another position within Covenant. We offer this program twice a year.

RN Boot Camp Program

The RN Boot Camp Program is open to GN’s and RN’s with a goal of joining our float pool, the Resource Team, after one year. Candidates are hired and managed by a Unit Manager, with monthly follow up by the Resource Team Manager or Educator. After sixty days off orientation, the employee will go into the pull rotation within their cluster. After six months, the employee will be at the top of the pull list when scheduled. After one year on the unit/cluster, the employee will be transferred to the Resource Team as an RN II and will receive orientation in another cluster, which is assigned by the Resource Team Manager.
