Stop the Bleed is a program that encourages bystanders to become trained, equipped and empowered to help in a bleeding emergency before professional help arrives. #StopTheBleed training is available locally through the Covenant HealthCare Injury Prevention Program.
Laura Walker, RN, BSN, EMT, CFRN is an experienced nurse who leads the Covenant Injury Prevention Program and provides education to the community. Laura recently shared information about the initiative with WNEM TV5 in recognition of National Stop the Bleed Day on May 19.
