Press Ganey 2019 Team of the Year Award - Covenant HealthCare Emergency Care Center
The Press Ganey Team of the Year Award® is a nationally recognized achievement for those patient care teams who have demonstrated exceptional collaboration and coordination in the pursuit of delivering safe, high quality and compassionate care.
Caregivers coordinated efforts to care for patients and their perception of teamwork are the largest differentiating factors in how patients experience hospital care. The Press Ganey® Team of the Year Award honors a team that demonstrates outstanding care coordination and teamwork in pursuit of delivering safe, high-quality, compassionate care.

Leapfrog 'A' Grade for Safety
Covenant HealthCare was awarded an “A” grade for hospital safety in the spring 2021 Report Card by The Leapfrog Group, a national non-profit organization. It was the sixth consecutive recognition for efforts protecting patients from harm and meeting the highest safety standards in the United States. Covenant is the only medical center in Saginaw and Bay counties to receive this high level grade.

Leapfrog Top Hospital Award for Outstanding Quality and Safety
To qualify for the Top Hospitals distinction, hospitals must rank top among peers in the 2020 Leapfrog Hospital Survey, which assesses hospital performance on the highest known standards for quality and patient safety, and achieve top performance in its category. The Leapfrog Top Hospital award is widely acknowledged as one of the most competitive honors American hospitals can receive. 

AHA Highest Award for Stroke Care
The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association awarded Covenant HealthCare the highest award for stroke care, Get with the Guidelines® - Stroke Gold Plus and Target Stroke Honor Roll Elite Plus.

  • High Performing Hospital by in care for CHF and COPD CMU Primary Medical Education Site: Covenant HealthCare recently entered into a historic agreement with the Central Michigan University College of Medicine to make Covenant a 25-year primary medical education site.

United Way Lloyd J. Yeo Community Involvement Award
Covenant was recognized for its continued support of the United Way of Saginaw County – specifically as the 2019 host site of the “Over the Edge” event, allowing participants to raise funds and rappel off the Mackinaw Campus.
