Will you go the extra mile for Covenant Kids?
Every year, the community gets moving to support Covenant HealthCare’s pediatric programs and services. Go the Extra Mile for Covenant Kids is an independent fundraising event established by Laura Fiore, a community volunteer, to benefit the Covenant Kids fund managed at Covenant HealthCare Foundation.
This event equips participants with the training they need to finish the race, whether they’re a beginner or advanced runner. It also features pace team leaders, who will assist groups of runners in keeping a steady pace and finishing the race at their desired time. Just like your support for Covenant Kids, we’re here to support you along the way. Because we believe that everyone should embrace a healthy lifestyle for a lifetime.
Organized by TriToFinish and the YMCA of Saginaw, Go the Extra Mile for Covenant Kids highlights some of the Great Lakes Bay Region’s nicest features. The race begins at Swan Valley High School (8400 O’Hern Road, Saginaw, MI, 48609). Participants have the option to register in the Hand Cyclist Half Marathon, the Half Marathon Run, 5K Run, 5K Walk, or the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. Both the half marathon and 5K are sanctioned by USA Track and Field; which means that not only are the courses certified by USATF as accurate, but our event management meets the gold standard as an Official USATF sanctioned event. The 8th Annual Go The Extra Mile for Covenant Kids is scheduled for Sunday, April 30, 2017.
