Johnston Sinks Hole-In-One During Covenant HealthCare Foundation Red Carpet Par 3 Challenge

Thursday, August 11, was Renee Johnston’s lucky day.

Johnston shot a hole-in-one on Hole #8 at Apple Mountain Resort in Freeland during the Covenant HealthCare Foundation Red Carpet Par 3 Challenge. The shot was witnessed by Ed Bruff, Herb Spence, and Kathi Spence.

Johnston was using a 3-wood when she made the 135-yard shot. Johnston, President of the Saginaw Community Foundation, had this to say, “Considering I don’t get out and golf much, I’ve never made it a goal to shoot a hole in one. I was just looking forward to having fun while supporting a great cause. I couldn’t believe it when the ball bounced and rolled into the hole. It definitely added excitement to the day!”

The Red Carpet series of events raises dollars to support the Covenant HealthCare Breast Health Center and Hospice programs.
