McNally Center for Pediatrics

In 2004, Covenant HealthCare invested nearly $2.7 million into the new McNally Center for Pediatrics to ensure children and their parents have access to the highest quality medical care available.

Located on the 2nd floor of Covenant Medical Center Harrison, the McNally Center for Pediatrics offers comprehensive medical care and treatment for children. From diabetes to orthopedics, asthma and other respiratory problems to traumatic injury, we provide quality, compassionate care for all pediatric illnesses and injuries.

The McNally Center for Pediatrics is designed to meet the unique needs of children. We know children are different than adults and come in many different sizes – from a newborn infant to a rugged teenager. They also need more individual attention and closer monitoring than adults since they can't always tell a doctor or nurse where it hurts, and changes in childhood illness can occur rapidly. Everything is properly sized for children, from blood pressure cuffs and oxygen masks to the amount of medication they are given.  

Vivid murals and child-friendly decor fosters a more pleasant, soothing experience for children and their parents.  Each patient room in the McNally Center for Pediatrics has been decorated in bright, lively colors featuring a variety of tropical and jungle images such as giraffes, zebras, monkeys, fish and more. A seperate area of the Center is available for parents, featuring a kitchen, bathroom with shower, sleep room and lounge area.   

We believe developmental activities allow our young patients to maintain skills and provide a diversion for their enjoyment. The McNally Center for Pediatrics features a large, cheerful playroom complete with computers, books, even a tropical fish tank.  Many age appropriate games are available - from crib toys to books to video games. Each patient room is equipped with cable TV and a DVD player. A library of DVDs is available with a wonderful selection of G and PG rated movies. Video games are also available upon request for children to play with. A children’s library offers a variety of books catering to every child's interests and age level.
