Women have unique health care needs related to changes in their bodies.
Unfortunately, many women go untreated because they are too embarrassed to get
help or are unaware of treatment options. We understand the sensitive
nature of women's conditions, so it is our priority to make you
comfortable. Therapists at Covenant PM&R offer specialized, advanced
treatments that few other facilities offer, and more importantly, with high
success rates.
Common Diagnosis for Women
Perinatal Pain (during or following pregnancy)
may include,
- back pain
- hip pain
- leg pain
- pubic pain
Pelvic Floor Dysfunction may include the following
symptoms and diagnoses,
- Lower back pain
- Pain during intercourse
- Persistent groin pain
- Urinary incontinence (loss of bladder control)
- Bowel incontinence (loss of bowel control)
- Pubic pain
- Unexplained hip pain
Urinary

and bowel
incontinence can be caused by,
- Birth defects
- Pelvic surgery
- Injuries to the pelvic region or spinal cord
- Neurological diseases
- Multiple sclerosis
- Bladder infection
- Degenerative changes associated with aging
- Pregnancy or childbirth
Lymphedema, an abnormal build-up of
fluid, commonly results in a swelling limb can be caused by,
- Injury
- Scarring and / or removal of lymph nodes (i.e.,
mastectomy)
- Trauma to the lymphatic system
- Malfunction of the lymphatic system at birth
