Pediatric Diabetes and Endocronology

The Covenant HealthCare Diabetes Self-Management program is the only program north of Flint providing a full range of education and services for children through age 21. Our program offers individual counseling, classes, and a variety of support groups.

The Diabetes Self-Management team consists Nurse Educators (who are registered nurses), Nutrition Educators (who are Registered Dietitians), who are all Certified Diabetes Educators (CDE). They collaborate with your child's physician and assist you in making necessary lifestyle changes to help you and your child learn to live with diabetes.

Covenant also features a Pediatric Endocrinology (Diabetes) Clinic which is serviced by a board certified pediatric endocrinologist. This program allows families to obtain the finest diabetes medical care including advanced therapies, (continuous insulin infusion and continuous glucose monitoring) close to home.
