Diabetes Education and Self-Management
The Covenant Outpatient Diabetes Education Program, staffed by certified diabetic educators, nurses and dietitians, is a recognized education program through the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) and is certified through the Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH).
Ongoing changes throughout your life will greatly affect how you manage your diabetes. Even if you have already participated in the diabetes education classes, attending them again will give you additional skills and refresh those you already have to help you better manage your condition. If you receive Medicare benefits or have other insurance benefits, you qualify for annual education in the Covenant Outpatient Diabetes Education Program.
