Cranialsacral Therapy
Craniosacral therapy is a therapeutic approach performed by a specially trained and licensed physical therapist who works with the spine, the skull and its cranial sutures, fascia (connective tissue) and diaphragms to alleviate a range of sensory, motor and/or neurological disorders.
During craniosacral therapy our physical therapists use a light-touch manual approach that has been shown to be effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and loss of function. Craniosacral therapy is useful as both a primary treatment method and in combination with other traditional or complementary techniques.
Conditions treated include:
- Migraine headaches
- Chronic neck and back pain
- Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ)
- Scoliosis
- Stress and tension-related problems
- Orthopedic problems
- Fibromyalgia
