What is Covenant Kids?

Covenant Kids is a fund managed by the Covenant HealthCare Foundation. Monies in this fund are dedicated to enhancing the care for all Covenant kids, any Covenant patient under the age of 18 and their families. Since 2010, Covenant Kids has raised more than $300,000 to support pediatric needs of the Great Lakes Bay Region and beyond.

Covenant HealthCare is the regional leader in providing health care to children and provides the following services:

  • Level III Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (RNICU) offering the highest level of critical care for infants
  • Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
  • ACS Verified Pediatric Trauma Center - one of only six in Michigan with a dedicated pediatric emergency center
  • Community-based urgent care through MedExpress Extensive clinical programs for children (diabetes, rehabilitation, cardiology, and more)

The Covenant Kids fund receives money through on-going philanthropic activities organized by hospital employees, community organizations, and individuals. Every spring, the Covenant HealthCare Foundation hosts one major fundraising event to raise money for the fund, the Covenant Kids Telethon.
