Computed Tomography (CT) Scan
Computerized Tomography (CT Scan)
CT uses sophisticated radiology equipment to obtain multiple images of the
body from different angles, then with the aid of a a computer, processes the
images to create cross-sectinoal "slices" of the area of interest. CT
images are far more detailed, because it can display and distinguish many types
of tissue in the same regin, including bone, muscle, soft tissue, and blood
vessels. A new 64-slice CT scanner is now available for sophisticated
angiographic scanning. CT exams are scheduled at the Mackinaw campus Mon.
- Fri., 7:30 am - 4:30 pm and at the Cooper campus Mon. - Sat., 7:00 am -
8:00 pm.
